Thru the conscious is where you live day to day I pray
may God grant you forgiveness In his arms I hope you lay. We all love and miss you!! J.J.J.J.Derrick “Chatte” Coleman was born 09-30-1980, on The Bay Island of Roatan, Honduras. He was the second of three children by Darlington Welcome and Darla Coleman. His eldest sibling is Kemy Coleman and youngest sibling is Jason Coleman; he also has an extended hosts of step brothers and sisters by their father’s side. Being self-employed as a butcher, Mr. Welcome was the bread winner in the family while Ms. Darla was a full time stay at home mother. Derrick spent 2-3 years being raised in Gravel Bay. After, he then went to Coxen Hole where he would stay for 5 years while attending Junior High School Juan Brooks. Derrick enjoyed learning and making friends. It was relatively easy for him as he was very likeable. Derrick also enjoyed playing soccer and riding his bike after school. He often attended church services at the Mission Hill & Glen Solomon Baptist with his family. Derrick Coleman was a firm believer in God. Still in his young days, he then attended Mr. Martel School located in Gravel Bay at the age of 7 years old. With his charming personality and handsome smile, he captivated the heart and souls of many. A few years went by and he then migrated to the United States of America to the State of New York with his family in 1994. While it did take some time to get used to, Derrick did enjoy his time in New York. He went to school, then college, but decided to move out of state to start a family. He now has two beautiful children; his first child and daughter named Sajourna; and his son named Damarion. Derrick loved and honored being a father. He was very loving and loyal to his family. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse and on May 16th 2012, Derrick passed away. Derrick left behind a slew of family, friends, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Derrick will continue to be loved and missed from his family and friends and will always reside in our hearts. I say this with all my love to Derrick, God Bless and thank you for reading.
